The scent of the Gulf home, made browsable across five countries and two languages.
Passage is a Kuwaiti home-ritual house whose products were already premium. Its digital presence was not. We built the editorial surface that comes before the purchase, and expanded it from one market into five across the Gulf.
The site is two things at once. An editorial storefront: full-bleed ritual photography, restrained typography, a hospitality voice that frames every object inside the act of preparing a home for guests. And beneath it, a working commerce catalogue that branches by region, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia each routing to the right platform at checkout, reading as a single brand even where the plumbing differs.
Bilingualism is structural, not bolted on. English and Arabic designed at equal weight, the layout mirroring to RTL, locale staying sticky across the site. The brand's Index, a three-character code for every product, ritual, and journal entry, threads through navigation, headers, and footers as a quiet system signature.
The standout is a shopping concierge built into the page. A floating assistant answers in English or Arabic, reasons against the real catalogue, and surfaces products as cards inline in the conversation. It runs on a frontier model with an application-level fallback cascade that fails over on slowness, not just errors: replies stay fast, answers stay grounded.
